What can I expect on my first visit?

Our Sunday school and Sunday morning services are held at the Arcadia Mansion, 4720 Buckeystown Pike, Frederick MD 21704. There will be a greeter near the entrance to show you where to go. They can also answer any other questions that you may have.

Our Sunday morning service is a refreshing time. Our congregational songs are uplifting and encouraging. Pastor Sharff gives a clear message from the Bible every Sunday that will help you for the rest of the week.

What is Arcadia?

If you have browsed through our website or have received information about the church you have probably noticed "Arcadia" mentioned in a few places. Arcadia is an historic property in Frederick that we now own and where we hold our Sunday and Wednesday services, as well as several other special events throughout the year. We purchased this property with the intention to one day build an auditorium where we will then hold our worship services. The Arcadia mansion has a deep and rich history, it is most notably known for being used as a Confederate hospital during the Civil War. Arcadia is Ballenger Creek Baptist Church's way of honoring the rich history of Frederick County while looking to the future and believing God will bless this work!

I am not a Baptist...may I still attend services?

Yes, it is our desire that anyone seeking to know more about Jesus Christ attend our services. You do not have to be a Baptist or come from a Baptist background to attend. We make it easy for anyone wanting to know more about Christ, the Bible, and church by focusing all of our teaching and preaching on the Word of God. You will find our members warm, friendly, and wanting to welcome you to worship with us.

What do you have for my children?

Since we are in the process of building a larger place to worship, space is very tight. We do, however, offer a small nursery area (infant to 3 years) and children's classes (ages 4 to 6) during service times.

How should I dress?

There is no dress code for visitors or members attending our worship services at Ballenger Creek Baptist Church. Our pastoral staff and those serving in leadership positions are usually dressed in more "traditional" Sunday attire.

Am I expected to give in the offering?

No. We do not invite you to Ballenger Creek Baptist Church for your offering. We want this service to be a gift to you. You are not obligated as a guest to give in the offering.
